Musselex Green Lipped Mussel Extract tablets Optima source of green lipped mussel extract. Optima MusselEx Tablets contain Green Lipped Mussel Extract, sourced from the coastal waters of New Zealand. Includes 500 mg of Green Lipped Extract and 0.3 mg of Manganese in every tablet.  

Manganese contributes to the maintenance of normal bones and the normal formation of connective tissue. It also contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

Green-lipped are best known for their ability to potently reduce sensations of pain, increase movement and improve quality of life in sufferers of osteoarthritis. Their powerful anti-inflammatory properties have also shown to improve gut health, by feeding the ‘friendly’ bacteria found in our digestive system.

New Zealand green-lipped mussel is POSSIBLY SAFE for most people when taken by mouth. It can cause some side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, and intestinal gas. In rare cases, it might cause liver problems.
