Luffa
A Vogel Luffa complex is a plant. When the mature fruit is allow to dry, a fibrous, sponge-like structure remains. The fibers can be boil in water, which is then use as medicine.
Luffa use by mouth for treating and preventing colds. It is also use for nasal swelling and sinus problems. Some people use it for arthritis pain, muscle pain, and chest pain.
Women use Sponge Cucumber to restore absent menstrual periods. Nursing mothers use it to increase milk flow.
Sometimes the whole “Sponge Cucumber ” is rubb against the skin to remove dead skin and stimulate the skin. Luffa charcoal, which is prepare by heating Sponge Cucumber fibers in a close container, is applied directly to the skin for shingles in the face and eye region.
In foods, young Sponge Cucumber fruits are eaten as vegetables.
In cosmetics, powder loofah is use in skin care products to reduce swelling and “detoxify” the skin.
- Directions:
Adults: 20 drops 2 to 3 times daily in a small amount of water.
Children (2-12 years): 1 drop per year of age twice daily in a little water. - Do not exceed stated recommended daily dose.
Avoid during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
